I was a tad embarrassed today in a shop queue, when the chap behind the counter asked me if I would like the special offer on the toilet rolls instead of the ones I had bought.It would have saved me a couple of pound. I had to the explain to him that I couldn't take him up on the offer as they were infused with aloe vera o& shae butter & that it wouldn't be good for my hamsters bedding! Bet he hasn't heard that one before....
I was talking to the lady in the health food shop as I was buying yet another bag of porridge oats, admitting that I'm going through the stuff at such rate because, as well as my eating a bowl every morning, all my hamsters are eating it too. Made her laugh.
Lol! I've had a moment like these! I had to explain to a sainsburys self check out guy why I was buying one floret of broccoli rather than a whole one....
These stories are giving me the giggles! I can't remember any specific stories offhand but I know I've had similar encounters with mystified clerks who ask me if I need any help as I'm seriously reading all the package ingredients and I have to tell them that I'm not sure if my hamster can have it
