Question Cardiff visit

Planning a few days away with the hubby around our anniversary and thinking of going to Cardiff. We want to visit all Capitals in the UK and Ireland. We have never been to Cardiff before, does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay, what to do / see etc before we book anything

The museum of welsh life is fab if you like history and a nice walk around. You only have to pay for parking and it's free to get in.

The museums are definitely fab...I guess it really depends on what both of you have interests in! The St Fagans National History museum is great, full of Welsh history ect, and there is also the National Cardiff Museum which is closer into the city centre...

I stayed in the Holiday Inn went I went (when I worked for them) and always laughed that the location was described as "300 metres" from Cardiff castle. I thought it was a joke, until I got there. We could see from our room into the castle, it was great for walking into the centre and the staff helped us out with what bus to get to get to Cardiff bay. If you can't get in the holiday inn I would recommend finding the post code for it and sticking as close as possible to there.

Thanks,

We might be staying at the Premier Inn, fantastic reviews on trip advisor and also amazing price!! In the city centre not far from most things, has anyone ever stayed here before?

I personally haven't, but I have heard some decent things about it. I am sure there will be a lot of reviews of it online anyway, and people will be honest!
