Any doll enthusiasts/collectors out there?
So, I've recently been sick and its gotten me a lot more time sitting up at night and surfing the net. I've decided that I like more adult-type fashion dolls, like Barbie, rather than than the more childlike dolls.
So, my search over dolls like these has gotten me to take interest in this line that is rather unique looking. Novi Stars. They are line of alien themed teenage characters/dolls that came to the Earth from parts unknown to be typical "Earth" teenagers. Their tagline is "What on Earth is going on?"
That's not what's original about them. What's original about them is each character's doll comes with a rather unique feature. One lights up, one has glitter laced water inside, one smells like something, one talks, and so on and so forth. Its quite unique as doll lines go.
Now, upon doing my research on them, they appear to me more so like figurines than actual dolls. They don't move around (articulate) like some higher end fashion dolls do, and some don't even have hair attached (rooted) to their heads (they come with wigs that just kind of sit there).
I haven't begun to collect them, but its got me wondering if anyone on here has a passion for doll collecting like I do.
