I am unable to grow my nails long cuz they end up bending and breaking. I did used to bite my nails quite badly due to anxiety but you have to find a way to break bad habits. The best way to do that is to replace the bad habit with a good habit. Try carrying a nail file around and when ever you get the urge to bite them file them instead.

I used to be a really bad nail biter. I stopped myself from chewing them by being conscious about when I brought my hands to my mouth. Every time I caught myself doing it, I'd force myself to do something else. About a month later, I found that I wasn't chewing my nails anymore.

If that doesn't work, try this: Cover your nails and the tips of your fingers with either masking tape or surgical tape. Then, put some knitted mittens over that and keep your hands that way for a few weeks. Sure, it'll look ridiculous but it'll keep your nails out of your mouth.

Get your nails done. That's what helped me. Altho I haven't been to a nail saloon in a whiel and fell off the nail biting wagon.
For me it s stress reliever but I hate that I do it.

I have to say i am not a long nail fan. I find them dirty looking and old womany. Sorry no offence to you long nailers out there.

I bite mine too. I had acrylics put on (short) for around two years and they completely ruined my nails and cost me a small fortune. So ive given up . I just put on nail varnish to make them look half decent.

Neither am I a fan of long nails as I've had them before but I found I couldn't do anything with them. I really enjoy doing crafts and grubbing about in the garden so long nails aren't for me but I wouldn't want to be a nail biter either cuz you make your fingers sore and bleed. There's a chance you can get infections when you bite your nails and that's not fun x-(
