Default Hamsters Helping Cravings (UPDATE 32 days NO FAGS!!)

Well, i was a smoker I know, it's extremely bad for my health, but it's a decision i have taken to stop.

I have a plan to reward myself for it, but also the hamsters should be able to help me too, everytime i crave a fag i will take out one of the hammies (I'm more of a night time smoker) this should help distract me and give me something to do with my hands until the craving passes, it also means i will get more time with them.

I am really determined to do this and i am sure that with the gang's help i can do it.

Good luck - it can be difficult but it gets easier as you go on. My gran recently gave up smoking after nearly 60 years, with very little problems. If she can do it, anyone can!

Just think you're creating a healthier atmosphere for your hammies too

Keep it up!

Oh Debs good luck. You can get help at free smoking cessation clinics across the city - my other-half has been trying to give up for many months now - it isn't easy but stick at I know you will get there Prescription Gum, Patches and even pills (Zyban) are available to help you. Do everything you possibly can.

Hi (Debs? )/ Flogging Molly,

Hows the quitting going? I hope you haven't been tempted!

Have been told the book by Allen Carr is THE way to stop smoking but I have no personal experience of it but have had reasonable feedback. His site (which sells the book naturally ) is:

Default *QUICK UPDATE ON PROGRESS*

well, i've not had a ciggarette for 12 days.

I had to resort to patches to help me and they have really helped, i'm now on the really low ones and after this pack is done i am going it alone and will see how i do from there.

Have managed to save myself £40 in total by not smoking! Thats for just 2 weeks.

With Wes's death at the end of last week it was hard not to start up again but i just knew it would solve nothing and resisted the urge to smoke. I feel healthier, happier and much calmer now that i am tabacco free.

I so glad you are quitting, congratulations on the 12 days of being a non smoker! I really could never comprehend why people did it, especially when its a know fact that it kills you among other health issues it will cause.

But one thing that always angered me was people the smoked around children and pets, those that didn’t have much of a say in what they thought of having to breathe in nasty second hand smoke! So I’m glad you are also offering your pets as well as yourself a better quality of life.

Because really it’s a sad thing to stink, and it even sadder to hug or hold a strange animal and just smell the scent of cigarettes all over them
