Default I wanted to show you some of my guinea pigs

I talk a lot about them (sorry now you all know how your friends and family feel about your hammies )

This is Ysadora who I lost this year (big sobs) but she was a superb pig, still miss her dreadfully

This is Angelina, my satin Swiss - she's still here causing meyhem naughty girl this one!!

Ysadora's babies (who were orphans when she died, they were only 3 days old)

Another "cute" baby

Okay that's enough for now - hope you like them

Oh, these pictures remind me how cute baby guineas are! (of course our geriatric guinea is gorgeous too )

They are all beautiful, but I do love Ysadora - I'm so sorry that you lost her

Loosing Ysadora was the beginning of The End for me really, I just wish I'd never bred her it was my own stupid fault, I knew 100% the risks involved in breeding and yet I went ahead and did it.

Teach me for being so selfish, a very hard lesson to learn

They are lovely piggies. I am glad you have the babies to carry on Ysadoras line. A bit of her lives on in them. The babies are so cute

Oh my GOD! Your piggies are adorable

I love the swiss ( although have never had the chance to squish a real life one )

So sorry to hear you lost your girl
I too learned the hard way last year when I decided to breed my two beautiful girls, they both died suddenly quite far into their pregnancies It's not worth the risk. I know some breeders who are used to the risks involved and don't seem overly surprised when they lose mum and/or babies. Mine were my pets though,I loved them.

Again, they're truly beautiful.

I think that's why I was never sucessful at showing and breeding, you HAVE to toughen up, poo happens and you have to accept that comes with the territory.

I just found it increasingly hard to swallow so I gave up.

I'm very sad today as the last of my "breeder" hutches were collected yesterday and I've come home from work and run up the garden and no one's squeaked to greet me

It's also the end of a fairly long chapter in my life - wierd really

BUT the hammies will all be up soon so I'll play with them instead - plus I still have a lot of piggies to play with, they're just not in my shed any more they're running riot in their retirement village
