Oh Theodore, they are wonderful - did you take them with your magic torch?

Love the babies of course and your flame angel is gorgeous.

we never used to have seahorses as Dad said they were too delicate, we had snowflake moray eels though, boxer shrimps and the most wonderful lion fish as well as all the invertebrates

I used to love when we bought living rock - its frowned upon now, because of conservation issues, but we just used to spend days after a new piece was put in keeping an eye out for all the surprises that would peep out from tiny holes etc.

Thanks for sharing
Whil-e

Yeah they are very special. Sea horses do great as long as the water chemistry is right. I have a lot of living rock in the angel tank, its great what has seeded on them; tiny anemones etc. The horses have a little living rock, but mostly its living sand in their tank.

Havent perfected raising seahorse fry just yet, they get to about a month old and then they croak. Still, the male keeps popping them out, regular as clockwork

ahhh bless him - maybe one day you will have a tank filled with teenage horses! (or horseres heneni0 )

glad to hear you still get the joy of living rock - I know some companies make it specially now. Im embarrassed to say 'in my day' the stuff used to come straight from the sea.

We used to have a sea cucumber that was great - it looked like this big, rotting cucumber, all purples and blues and very squidgy. It used to climb up the front of the tank and make visitors feel ill! Gosh I loved the little guy!

thanks so much for photos Theo - I lurve 'em

your so lucky to have a marine tank! I never really got into it, my dad only used to sell freshwater stock. I love the pipes.

Fish watching for me is a therapy

Spuds_mum, it's amazing what people use nowadays; real Living rock costs £100 per 10Kg You're talking 1.5 pounds of rock per gallon of water, so it works out VERY expensive So I cheat I use cement too - cheaper, and if you do it right, poking in lots of grooves and holes as it dries, it does the same job
