Default San Francisco Photos (loads of photos and more to come...)

Ok... I'm not even going to type much as I know I have just uploaded 36 photos which is all I could shorten it to from the 600 and I have another 200 to go through LOL.

The weather was predicted to be very cold and wet... first night the temp was 10 deg C.... second day it hit 29 deg C and the hottest it got in the city was 33 deg C. VERY sunny and so it was hard to get photos, not to mention im at war with my camera, it has permanent dirt in it, even though it was just proffesionally cleaned!

Ok... Start of the trip to most of the way through...

The flight out I got window seat! for 11 hours... I only got up to pee twice and got serious cramp from sitting still so long! I did however watch Juno (uneventful), Dark Is Rising (not worth watching, book is better), Rattatouille (haha great), Chipmunks (i had to! watched it as a kid!), Beowulf (turned it off after 10 minutes it was so rubbish!), Away From Her (thankfully no one noticed i was sobbing, its a film about alzheimers which is a sore point atm), St Trinnians (I was getting VERY bored!), Sweeny Todd (ok... well, i had no idea what to expect and it was gross but good!) and many more that I cant remember!

Nothing, however, will beat the views! It took about 6+ hours to cross just Greenland and Canada, most of which was under snow, mountains and glaciers and long rivers.

The first full day we were there was the day the Olympic Torch came to San Francisco and there was a HUGE protest. However, knowing that a lot of Americans carry guns and that trouble was expected, we high tailed it into the city and out of the way, as it happens, they used a decoy torch anyway! This is at 8am San Fran time, they were just starting out and there was already about 60 of them out and aparently there were many thousands.

Walking into San Francisco city centre was one of the hardest walks ever! The city is built over some seriously crazy hills and some hills are so steep that you almost need to crawl!

View out down a side street out over the bay to the Bay Bridge (is actually bigger and more impressive than the Golden Gate Bridge).

Possibly the cutest photo of a seagull in the world! This photo makes everyone go 'awwww'!

You can see why people say I look like my mum! My poor eyes! I got sunglasses the next day so I didnt have to walk about squinting but i refused to have my photo taken with them on lol.

My youngest brother looks a lot like my mum and I! The thre of us are very similar in so many ways, all depressive personalities lol, all dyslexic, all like animals, all look alike, its weird!

In the center of San Francisco, in Yerba Buena park, we discovered the heart of San Francisco. I took the photo to send to my aunt who has had a heart transplant to say we found her a better one hehe.

And artistic photo of my coconut cream cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory above Macy's in the city.

From Macy's Cheesecake Factory looking down into Union Square bang in the middle of the shopping area in San Francisco. We were about 8 storeys high.

The Golden Gate Bridge from a view point that you can pull into just after coming out the city between San Francisco and Sausalito (sp).

My two younger brothers next to a cut trunk of a Sequoia Redwood in Muir Woods.

Impressively tall trees huh!?

Lovely photos Moosely - you look like you had an amazing time.

Only photo I cant bear to look at is the c***cake I have a phobia about this object (yes honestly - how bizzare is that) - and once woke my OH up by shouting whilst asleep "But I dont like c***cake" as a result of a nightmare

Love the seagull though

Looks like you all had a great time We went there last summer so I fondly recognise all those sites. Better than the cheesecake spud's mum is a Volcano from the rainforest cafe. The waiters bring it with sparklers all over shouting 'VOLCANO' and everyone stares. It is though, a veritable feast of chocolate yummyness.
