Default Builders bonfire

Sooooo I just got home and the builders down the road (who i passed and don't look classified) have yet another bonfire!
they are gutting the house down the street and burning the stuff which is fine but they are bringing stuff in in lorries and burning that as well.
I have bad lungs and my housemate says her throat hurts so much and they have been burning stuff literally all day. Our whole house is smoky even though no doors and windows are open!
so annoyed! and all my stuff smells

Will the hammies be ok? my room is quite smokey but i cant open any windows to let in fresh air because the fire is still burning so there is no fresh air!!

Oh no..That really does suck.. You can put your hamster in a closet for awhile until they're done burning stuff. If all else fails, you can just run to the store to buy a air puifery things.

Thats terrible, are bonfires actually allowed in your area? Contact your local council!
Bonfires and the law>
There aren’t any specific laws against having a bonfire, but there are several laws that deal with the nuisance bonfires can cause.
Burning plastic, rubber or painted materials creates poisonous fumes and can have damaging health effects for people who have asthmatic or heart conditions.
This is covered under the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

I agree, get on to your council about it, if it's waste from an actual business such as builders rather than from just an individual garden bonfire, there are loads more regulations about it. Hope it stops soon, it can be a real nuisance.

Its just some people that are working on the house down the road. We had a look on web for the laws thank you sully but apparently we have to talk to them first. If they do it again my housemate said he will go and have a word.

I thought there were time restraints on bonfires but apparently not.
