What is he?

Hi guys!

I've been doing a lot of research lately into to genetics of hamsters and what hamsters can be bread together and what can't be etc..

I'm really confused now, because I thought I knew what my hamster was, but after all the research and seeing all the different types of hamsters I'm not actually sure anymore about what my hamster is?!

Please help!

In day light he looks this colour

By the way, I removed the fluffy bedding in the background weeks ago!



Obviously the little guy is in bed at the moment so I can't get any other pictures until then but he has a very thin line on his underneath that is vertical, not horizontal through his middle.
Also, I can't work out what his eye colour is and can't check that until he's up either, if I take a picture with the flash they're red BUT if it's in normal day light they look black, but with my research apparently he can't have black eyes because you don't get a black eyed cream without grey ears?!

I'm REALLY confused.. HELP PLEASE?!

No idea what about colouring sorry but is that fluffy cotton bedding he has? If so, please, please remove it ASAP (as in, as soon as he wakes up), it's highly dangerous. This is from his first day and I removed it the same day, I've had him for nearly three weeks. I found out that it was harmful so removed it straight away!
Pets at home, and any other pet shops, SHOULD NOT sell this stuff!

I can confirm he's red eyed (if they don't appear black in photos with flash then they're red). Not entirely sure on the colour so am waiting for someone more sure to speak and then I can see if I'm right or not

Okay thank you, at least I now know he's a red eye cream!

Er... I'm pretty sure the colour isn't cream. I've got a guess but I'm still learning and know that whatever he is he's one of the colours I struggle with lol

Pretty sure he's not a cream. It's hard to tell from the front, but he looks like a dove or a mink to me. But definitely a red-eyed ham, the flesh coloured ears are proof. Red eyed hams can have very dark red eyes that look black
