Worst grade so far >.<
So, my company is sponsoring me for my degree (woooo). That means working full time and doing the degree, which can be tricky. I've been doing it for almost a year now, and at the moment I'm doing 2 modules.
I got my lowest grade ever today which is 63%, I've been really proud of myself so far for staying above 70% and averaging on 80%, but I've ruined it.
Just made me feel blerggggghhhh.

Re: Worst grade so far >.<
Im doing the same thing have been for 3 years and I have done 2 NVQ level 3 along side the work and the degree, means pressure to do well is good but this year I have dropped right off. My average has been 82% this year my average is more like 50% with some fails due to other life events should we say. The odd low grade makes no difference to your final grade btw, your final year project is the major thing!

you're disappointed about a 63?! I'm usually happy just to have gotten anything 55+ haha.

Ahhh thanks guys, feel a bit chirpier now LOL. I know it's silly, I don't even understand why I'm aiming for such high marks - in school I never paid attention and did the bare minimum :s

Re: Worst grade so far >.<
I was the opposite -- in school I was disappointed with myself if I got under 80% in something, and then I got to uni and it got so much harder and I made it my aim to pass I got a 2:1 in the end, but I have no idea how I managed that, especially when I got a 3rd in second year (A high third, but that's still under 50%)

Re: Worst grade so far >.<
yeah GCSEs it was, "NO I HAVE 'B' MY LIFE IS OVER". then A Levels it was, "gah 3 Bs will do". now at uni, it's "oh god please let me just scrape a 2:1"... my standards have been dropping as I age, oops.

Re: Worst grade so far >.<
Yeah... I found I cared less and less as I got older. By the end of uni I just wanted the degree over. Any grade would've been fine and I was pleased with the 2:2
Did my best and the last year was a living hell, its over, I passed, I've since ended up in a completely unrelated job anyway lol
One bad mark won't ruin anything, so best of luck getting back to your usual great marks next time

My standards didn't drop so much as plummet I got all A* in my GSCEs except for one A, two Bs at AS and three As at A2 (four if you count general studies)... and then university hit and I prayed I'd pass first year. I averaged just over 50% in first year (pass is 40%), and just under 50% in second year. If it wasn't for my bizarrely awesome lab marks this year, I wouldn't have got the 2:1 degree!
(I graduate tomorrow! )
