scarlet fever and hamsters

poor josh has scarlet fever and tonsillitis. just want to make sure harry cant catch either of these?? josh wont be touching him but he does spend a lot of time sitting next to the cage talking to harry if hes feeling sad.

I do not know if hams can catch it, hopefully someone will know

I don't know either but considering that hamsters can catch human colds then I think I'd play safe and not let him near Harry till he is better.
