Yeah, we can't go wrong ordering it a month beforehand. Or we use Womblehands good idea and get the playsand.
Knowing me I'd either overor underbake it as I can't even toast bread and get it right.

I ordered from them, phoned them up after a fortnight (waiting for sand) - something else I'd ordered was out of stock. The order came quickly after is cancelled it, but why did I have to contact them? Play sand next time I think.

We use playsand in cages and don't bake it first. Its fine when left to air dry until completely dry too

Ive ordered from them twice. The first time i ordered a cage and it came damaged and they sent me out another one which was damaged but not as bad, they said if i wanted a refund or another cage i would have to pay for delivery to send it back. I ordered a hamster toy a few weeks ago and it came within 2 weeks which was fine. I dont order from them much though only if something is very cheap compared to everywhere else. As for the sand i use playsand and just let it air dry before use, i did used to bake it but it was a lot of messing about and i cant tell the difference anyway.

I thought part of the reason for baking was to sterilise the sand, kill any nasties that are on it?

Ssince the playsand is designed for use by children it should be pretty safe even without baking x

Nope, its to dry it out properly
People used to reccomend air drying as much as baking.
