the wheels are in litter trays because most hogs poop while they run, and the poo falls out the wheel and into the litter tray, making cleaning up that bit easier

Erin I love your new signature...I actually laughed out loud seeing how much bigger the prof is to the others.

How much are the african pigmys going for now? When I looked in to it they were being sold for £250 and I wanted one. Why I returned to hamsters is anyone's guess! But I really missed them. And I have no experience with hogs.

depends where you go, most good breeders are selling at around the £100 mark, a few BYBs are still selling £150 - £200 mark

the adoption fee from homeless hogs is around £40

i got jack from homeless hogs, for the other 2 boys no money was handed over as harry came to me as a special needs rehome, and pong was an on deaths door rescue

my other hog, huffy, was the only animal i have ever gotten from a breeder (sadly the breeder turned out to be a BYB it wasnt till after i got huffy and her paperwork that i found out both her parents were of unkown lines, i paid £150 for her, and lost her at around 2 years old due to the genetic condition WHS

if you want a hog from a breeder do your research

a good places to look is here
Log in

or to contact one of the breeders here
Recommended Breeders List

and theres often hogs for rehoming on here
Log in

and as i said before homeless hogs

I'm going to look at the sites you've posted and keep them for future reference since I'm at max with pets at t mo. thank you for the info.

It's going to be some time until I get one because I know nothing about owning them and I like to do lots and lots of research before I buy
