Re: Mob Wives!!!!
Not heard of this but then again I don't tend to watch American programmes Sky tv is full of them no doubt it will be shown on Sky Atlantic which tends to show new American programmes. My fav programme at the moment is 24 hours in A & E a documentry filmed at King's College Hospital in SE London. Full of good honest hardworking Docs,Nurses etc dealing with stabbings, trauma and serious illness in a very dignified way and its full of no-nonsense Londoners like me!. Do you have such documentries, only ever seen American documentries such as Teen mom etc that my daughter loves to watch!.

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
No. We really don't. Lol. Very rarely does anything with good or honest people become popular in America when it comes to reality tv. That show you're describing sounds awesome though. Mob wives is about these women who live on Statan Island and have connections to the mob in some way and most of their husbands are serving time in jail for organized crime. I can't help it, I just love it. The show follows them around and whether it is scripted or not the dram is delicious. These ladies just remind me of how I am when I get rubbed the wrong way which is funny because we both live in NY but the vanacular in which my area speak and their area speaks is like polar opposites. But I have some of their isms. Lol

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
I've watched Mob Wives before but don't really follow it lol I might have to watch so I can have another show to be addicted to this summer. I'm a teacher, so although I tutor during the summer, I get really bored LOL
We have lots of documentary programs here. I guess the one closest to the one you were describing would be Untold Stories of the E.R.. Another favorite is I Didn't Know I was Pregnant LOL. We also have Extreme Makeover (Home Edition, Weight Loss Edition..etc.), lots of talent shows (American Idol, America's Got Talent, The Voice..etc), even more crime shows (Forensic Files, Who the *Bleep* Did I Marry..etc.), and of course the 16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom, Real World, Jersey Shore, Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding reality TV shows as well LOL
Some current favorites are 16 and Pregnant/Teen Mom, Toddlers and Tiaras, Punk'd, and Sister Wives.

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
I didn't know I was pregnant makes me laugh every time.
Sister wives I haven't gotten into. Is it good?
I'm a teacher too! Not in work currently because I'm recovering from radiation therapy. I think because I have to be so wholesome and g rated during the day is the reason I love trash tv! Lol.
I use to like teen moms but now I find it depressing.

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
My daughter watches Toddlers and Tiara's too, I have watched a few with her and was shocked howmuch the Mum's spend on outfits, nails and hairstyle not to mention the spray tan for a five year old. I think our equivalent to that is ballroom dancing which costs a small fortune and families sacrifice holidays etc to pay for it.
I had no idea you have Gypsies in the states, I associate them more with Europe, our gypsy communities are more often than not of Irish descent. I too love My Big Fat Gypsy wedding, my daughter now wants a Pumpkin Carriage, enormous dress and fairy tale cake when she gets married, lol. I think she's going back to her Irish roots. A lot of the docs you mention are shown here on satellite Sky TV. I'll look out for Mob wives.

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
No we don't have Netflix but do have PS3 and a Wii so we can get it but after paying over £70 a month for Sky TV (top package) because Mr Kitchenzoo loves to watch the football (Chelsea) I'm loathed to pay another £6 a month for Netflix. I do recognise Mob Wives so wouldn't be surprised if ot has been shown on one of the Sky channels but it's not being shown at the moment as I've just done a search.

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
I think that's why I like the trashy shows too!! Lol.. my "kids" (students) ask me what shows I watch for fun and I usually don't tell them What do you teach? I LOVE Sister Wives... I just think it's just a concept that's so far from anything I've ever heard of that's why I think it's so interesting, plus they always have millions of different story lines going on at once with the 4 wives and like 20 kids!
I agree about Toddlers... One mom said that she's spent almost a millioin or something on pageants.. I don't think I could ever justify that much for some hobby! I don't think there are many Gypsy communities here, just a few scattered but that show also keeps me entertained just by how different of lives they lead! You can also check out the shows on the tv channel website for old episodes

Re: Mob Wives!!!!
I teach preschool and do an after school program. I tell the kids in my after school class what I watch because they usually watch it too. In fact one of the 11 year olds said to me "gee mr. John when we make you upset u really sound like a mob wife...or a black woman". Lol
