As the sun rises. I just watched a programme about it and the lady said approx half 5. I'm going to my Mum's around 4.30/5ish to set my telescope and paper up (to project to sun on the paper). I must be mad lol.

Re: Transit of Venus
Charley I'm very interested I love Astronomy & did my degree in Physics & Astronomy. I have a Skywatcher Explorer Reflector Telescope.
Whether I can get up is another thing. lol I'm sure the last one was during the day as I remember projecting it on a piece of card to watch.

Re: Transit of Venus
Glad i'm not the only one
I have a basic telescope that my Grandad left me. I would love to get something I bit more powerful but don't have the money for it at the moment Also, where I live isn't the best for viewing the stars due to too many trees! I try my best though There is a wide, open field near me but I would be a bit intimidated standing in the middle of it by myself in the dark!
What size is your scope?

Re: Transit of Venus
Have you a favourite object to look at? My favourite has always been Jupiter, especially as you can see the cloud formations & it's four largest moons. Blows me away each & every time.
