Too hot?
Is anyone finding the weather in the UK a bit too hot at the moment? Don't get me wrong, I love the sunshine, but I really can't deal with the heat all that well. My face looks like a tomato LOL
I don't think the hams are appreciating it either. Bella has started sleeping next to her sand bowl, Flynn has kicked all the bedding out of his and Mylo has taken to sleeping on top of his tissue. I have taken a bit of bedding out of each house to make it more comfortable for them.

Too hot?! Tooooooooooo hot?!
Yes, it bleeding well is. I hate it. Hate it hate it hate it.
It's 29°C in my flat at the moment. I like it at 20-21°C. Go away Summer, you aren't meant to be here until the 20th of June.

Re: Too hot?
Same here, same here. after an hour of rounders followed by an hour of tennis during lunch, i came in sweating from head to toe. and bright red, and i rarely colour. we then went outside to learn how to put up tents for half an hour. :/ abjdklfh. It is lovely though. school jumper and tights = back of wardrobe, so tomorrow should be better.
i've been concerned about the temperature change upstairs too, as the hamsters are in the smallest, warmest room. i've just left the windows wide open but then i worry about the wind coming through :/

Re: Too hot?
LOL! To be honest I dread summer every year. I know it means looking like a tomato all the time i'm outside, getting my pasty white legs out which never seem to tan and trying to find to find a way to stay cool without wearing next to nothing!
My favourite season by far is Autumn as it's never too hot or too cold. I can't wait for it!

Re: Too hot?
I'm not a hot weather person, I prefer it colder myself Luckily I'm quite pale and never seem to catch any sun
It's giving me more migraines and I'm just feeling sick because of it, my LH hammy boys don't appreciate it either! Luckily they get a nice cool sandbath

Re: Too hot?
I can't stand the heat either we live in a bedsit with big heavy fire doors on every room so it get unbearable and my 2 hammy's don't like it much either been putting small plates in the fridge and then putting it under the wood shavings in there cage they both dived onto the plates to cool down and have there water changed every 2 hours so its always cool

Re: Too hot?
Having lived in Cyprus for 5 years where the temperature gets to around 50 degrees Celsius in July/August time I'm coping pretty well with this. Actually I'm loving it! This is what I miss the most about Cyprus!
I have to laugh when customers come in at work one week saying "Ooo its too cold we need sun!" and then the second we get sun its "Ooo this is too hot!"
My hams haven't really noticed the change

Re: Too hot?
I'm enjoying the warmth, but not looking forward to having to do two exams in it tomorrow. One of them is in a room with a huge glass wall, it'll be like three hours in a greenhouse!
The only other bad thing is that my room gets very warm in the evening as it kinda faces west. It makes going to sleep difficult, it really retains the warmth! Darla's not a massive fan either I don't think, he's been getting up later at night. He has a new giant sand bath which is fairly cool though

Re: Too hot?
Where I work turns into a huge greenhouse in the summer! I'm not looking forward to going in on Saturday as I know it is going to be really hot and humid!
Also, my bed is in a little alcovey part of my room, furthest away from my window so it gets stuffy and i find it hard to sleep. I do have a rotating fan on at the mo so it's not that bad!
