Chronicles of Narnia fans?
I am very much excited as I have just ordered the leather bound version of these books from Amazon. It looks absolutely stunning on the website and I can't wait to for it to get here so I can enjoy it.

Re: Chronicles of Narnia fans?
Yeah, I would still be reading my soft cover edition, but the pages are falling out of it now.

Re: Chronicles of Narnia fans?
hehe i have about 10 versions of the books, some for display and some for reading - i'm just that sad - i refuse to watch the new films though, as the first was such a disappointment compared to the book

Re: Chronicles of Narnia fans?
Well I did start reading them, read The Magician's Nephew, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and I'm halfway through The Horse and His Boy. I quite like them Bit surprised by the amount of Christian stuff in it.
My fav so far is definately The Horse and His Boy.
That leather bound book is absolutely gorgeous, I want a Grimm Fairy Tales book thats beautifully bound and illustrated.

Re: Chronicles of Narnia fans?
Yeah there's loads of christian reference, which fits with the fictional styles of the book, I just gloss over it tbh, glad ur liking them

Re: Chronicles of Narnia fans?
I try to gloss over all the Christian stuff too, although I have to admit, when I was younger and didn't notice it, I enjoyed the books more. Now I can't help feeling like C.S. Lewis is trying to feed me Christian propaganda when I read them
The first three are definitely my favourites, in my opinion they go downhill a bit from there.

Re: Chronicles of Narnia fans?
Yeah, the whole christian thing isn't taken to seriously by me when I read it. I just enjoy it for the fantasy aspect of it.
