Default Anyone have an LG S310 mobile phone?

I recently bought one off ebay second hand but in lovely condition with box (upgraded from a really old mobile I was using) and although it didn`t come with an instruction manual (I`ve heard it`s not much use anyway!) I managed to download the user guide off the internet.

The issues I`m having are not knowingwhat features the previous owner has "switched on or off" and i`ve had to manually delete over 200 text messages from the phones memory. Having done that, I still need to find out whether my phone has had it`s internet capabilities turned on or not and how I can check this? I`ve been scrolling the menus and sub-menus, but apart from that, I can`t really tell if the phone has some features switched on like internet, texting services or apps.

I only really need the phone for calls, text message (receiving only) and using the camera feature. I`ve turned off the voicemail okay as I don`t use it, but wondered if anyone had this model and could shed some light on how I can check the settings and features without accidentally switching something on that I might incur a charge for! I`ve already noticed that I`ve had a 10p charge for something from my phone credit but I havn`t even made a call yet! So I must have blindly done something I was unaware of.

Any advice would be apprecieted if any of you have this model.

I don't have this model, but most phones have an indented button you can press with a straightened paper clip or similar which will then return the phone to its original factory settings. Might be worth Googling or checking the downloaded manual to try to locate it.

Were any of the text messages juicy??!

No `juicy` messages just talk about...making bread, hospital visits, going to a vet and asking if `you are ok`and `can I come round for coffee`! I skipped through them all too quickly to read them in depth! Just wanted rid of them!

The online user-manual is fine, especially if your someone who is used to phones with singing & dancing features and a lovely 3.2 megapixel camera! Sadly, I`m not one of them and am now considering getting rid. Nothing to do with the phone as it`s in fab condition. I just feel I`ve bought a phone that`s a little too advanced in technicals for my own use. I would have been better off just upgrading to one of the cheaper phones from Tesco that are `idiot` proof! They have two on sale for under £12.00 right now and one is a Samsung, one a Nokia. I might just buy one of those and use my Tesco sim card.

Anyone need a great condition LG S310 going cheap? Comes with Tesco SIM card, earphones, charger, USB cable and in-car charger. Oh and Tesco top-up card for adding credit. The SIM card was never activated so it can either be used or if you are already with Tesco mobile, the phone is locked to their network so you just pop your own SIM card into it.

This phone would suit a teenager or adult alike. It`s just too much for me to deal with as I`m used to a much older, simpler phone I can just switch on to make calls with. This phone is in lovely condition. I paid £30.00 for it just last week but open to offers. If I get enough for it I can buy a simpler phone.

If you are looking for a basic handset a nokia is always best.. I think the nokia c1 is on offer at the moment.

I am very fortunate as I am a complete techno-dummy but my OH is the opposite. I just hand over every new device to him, he plays and works it all out (and it's a point of pride never to read the user manual) and then I get him to explain the basics. Only my Kindle and TomTom have I mastered unaided. The only problem is when I inadvertently do something (like put my phone in flight mode) when he's not around...

I had a look on the Tesco website and have seen two phones I like. The Nokia 100 at £11.97p and the Samsung E1080i at £9.97p. One of those would do me fine. I`ve heard that Nokia phones are very good so I might go with the Nokia. Will have a read up about those tomorrow when I have time. Not a million miles away from my old Siemens C25! I`ve put my SIM card back into my old Siemens and I feel happier. I know I need a newer mobile just to upgrade, but I went too far buying the LG. I thought it was the phone I wanted but now realise it`s more techie than I wanted or needed. So it`s back to Tesco for me and back to square one! Ah well, you live and learn I suppose. If I can sell it on to someone who will use it and enjoy it, I`m happy to accept £20.00 for it or maybe a little less. It will pay for one of the other phones I mentioned. I`ll ask a few neighbours if they are interested in it aswell. Otherwise it will just sit in it`s box and that would be a shame because it`s a gorgeous phone.
