Thanks louise, but I`d rather just sell it and leave any settings to someone who knows what they are doing! The factory settings code may have been changed by the previous owner, so if I go in with the 0000 default code, it may block the phone and I don`t want to risk that happening if I want to sell the phone. It was something I thought about doing but I don`t want to risk it.

Selling the phone for £15.00. This will allow me to buy a basic model. In the meantime, I will keep using my old phone. I feel happier now that my SIM is back in my old Siemens phone!

If your unable to sell the phone to a neighbour you could always try the websites that give you a price for the phone and you send it off to them. Some advertise on tv too. Not sure if they are anygood but maybe worth a try.

Good idea suga, thanks for that. What sites would I search for? I don`t really know what they would come under? Should I just google something like `selling your LG S310?".. Sounds like a plan though but I would guess they would want to pay me by bank transfer rather than a cheque so I`m not sure about dealing with payments that way. I might just advertise it locally in the newspaper and see if I get any interest. I`m hopeful it will sell because it`s a fab phone, but being locked to the Tesco network, it might not have the same interest. Someone might want to use it as a spare though and have it unlocked.

Mazumba mobile was one of the ones I was thinking of but couldnt recall the name. I think there is a second one that advertises on the web as well. Can't remember that one either.

Ebay may be a good solution as Womblehands has suggested. Alternatively give it to a junior family member as a christmas gift.

Thanks guys. I had a quick look at some sites and they are offering measly money for what is a very nice phone and was only released by LG in 2010! I have a neighbour who is interested but she wants to speak to her daughter first before commiting. If she buys it I will get £15 for it with the accessories, so a better deal than I would get from an online dealer.

I don`t sell on ebay sadly or I`m sure it would be snapped up. That`s where I bought it from and I was the tenth bidder, so quite a few buyers were after it. I can see why because it`s a good phone. The camera feature on it`s own is worth the money! Just wish I`d went for a more basic model though. I was living in a world of illusion when I bought it thinking it was what I wanted and needed. Too flash for my needs though.

SOLD!!! My neighbour snapped it up for £15.00. I didn`t think it would take too long for it to sell and even though I`m £15.00 down on what I paid for it, at least I won`t have it lumbering in a drawer unsold. Lesson learned though...stay away from fancy mobile phones!

Gosh mobiles are beyond me as well. My OH deals with it all. I'm glad your neighbour bought it. I'd have just stared and it and willed it to work!!!!

I just couldn`t be bothered with the time it would have taken me to figure out all the workings and then a week later, forget them all again! As someone on a techie forum told me, "you need a degree in string to be able to operate one of these smartphones!"... and another member who has been a techie for 30 years also agreed, they are a waste of space!

I`ll be sticking to my faithful old Siemens C25 for now until I can muster the energy to go looking again. I gave myself a migraine over the weekend worrying that the damn thing was sneakily stealing my phone credit behind my back! Switching these phones on can accidentally cost you a small fortune if you happen to flick a button by mistake and end up being charged for it. No thanks... if that`s phone advancement, they can keep it!
