haha glad she's ok
luckily we haven't had many escapes recently.. a couple of days ago i put boppit (gerbil) in the playpen and left the hamster room for. 30 seconds? came back, and she was nowhere to be seen -.- turns out she leapt over the pen, luckily turned left (away from the main stairs) and i found her down the bathroom stairs leaping around the floor -.- even after shutting the door (it's a small room-very small!) i took about 10 minutes to catch her. she does that teasing thing when they step into the box then just as you think you've got them, bam they're gone! naughty thing.

Awww bless, glad he decided to stay put Many times I've found open cages but the ham still soundly sleeping in the nest, so its a good idea to check there first!
I always have the doors shut so they are trapped in one room too Usually I know the most likely hiding places and can find them before long, they can be very predictable when you know their character. Only when Batman went under the floorboards I was complete wreck. I cried but sure enough he came back for some baby food x

Glad everything was ok and that Teddy was safe in his nest!!!
Happened to me not long ago with Cupcake I opened her cage door to scatter some food and fix the bedding a little (every morning her cage looks like she had a bulldozer in it over night ) and forgot to close the door when the phone rang...then I went to eat breakfast, I took a shower and it took me a full hour and a half to go back and see the door was open
obviously first thing I thought was, she still has to be in the room cause at least the door was closed!
She was sleeping like a baby in her nest haha I was relieveeeeddd!!! Now I always check the cage twice before I leave the room

Very glad that he is safe thats the main thing xD
I've had a similar thing of a untame Robo making a quick break for it, lukily we put down a ball and he made a break for it xD
Also when I was back and forth to see my gran in the hospital, one night I came back so my boyfriend could get a few hours sleep(I was unable to) I had let muffins the syrian out for some playe but I hadn't slid the door shut properly we had left to go back to the hospital and when I came back home again I found muffins sitting in front of his cage staring at me xD I like to think of it as him saying I behaved this time, it was too easy but next time who knows :P

My Poppy escaped last month just before we moved house. We kept them in the living room then and it always worried me she would get stuck somewhere.
She chewed a hole in her cage, when she was obsessed about chewing her bottle (and the surrounding area) and i didnt even think to look as i thought she couldn't have escaped from the hole.
I was in for a shock when she hadnt woken up by 8pm and franticly (soz for spelling) scoured the flat looking for her. After about half an hour, switching all the lights on and looking in every nook and cranny visible, she came waddling, bleary eyed, from the spare bedroom doorway. She had clearly been having a sneaky kip behind the pile of boxes we had stacked in there.
The energy must of taken it out of the poor girl she looked shattered.
