Re: Broken arm
Ok so, I was sat on my bed just finishing off my homework on the edge of my bed, and I went to move and got my foot caught in my laptop wire, so me and my laptop went "flying"-litrually!-to the floor and made a massive BANG! So my Mum and Dad-who werent impressed!-took me to the A and E department and I had an operation the following day(so I was in the hospital for 2 days) and so I was discharged from the ward with a massive arm! Unfortunatley my laptop didnt survive(after all the effort!) and I got a C for the piece of homework! I broke an elbow doing that!
So yeah, I basically fell of my bed! The doctor said when I had my cast off(which was when they took the wires out that were put in when I had the operation) said it would take 2 YEARS to be back to normal because I shattered the bones and they have to reconstruct itself!!!! But sometimes I use it as an advantage to get out off doing things..lol!

Re: Broken arm
I've never broken any significant bone in my body but I think I cracked one in my middle finger at the top by slamming it in a car door....It was literally closed on my finger.
And I might have done a toe...by kicking the corner of a wall between my little toe and the next toe. AGONY!

Re: Broken arm
Ouch. The finger in the door sounds really painful! Probably did break it if the door was fully shut. xxx

Re: Broken arm
The doctor said it wasn't and that I didn't even need to bind it. I did it on christmas eve. My hand was on the sofa and my little brother jumped onto the sofa next to me and landed on my finger. D:

Re: Broken arm
It can always be worse - My long-term injury is a bone in my foot that spontaneously died. Takes a lot longer to heal than a broken bone does and I've had to take at least four tablets a day for the past year because of it. Also had over four months solid on crutches, still can't do any excercise (am lucky I can do my work without needing painkillers often), and still limp slightly a lot of the time.
So yeah, it can always be worse lol. Will be another 6 years or so before this stops showing on x-rays
