My Boyfriend Is Upgrading

I've thought about building a wooden stand that would sit above the lower one and come down each side giving enough room for ventilation but don't know if it would be able to hold the weight of the one on top

If it was strong enough it could be good. My other question is about access though.
I know keeping the ZZ2 cages on shelves is a nightmare because access becomes really difficult, would it be the same for aquariums?

lol for us it wasn't an issue until we ran out of space and had to start putting ham cages on shelves. Then I started to suffer using ZZ2 cages... Am glad me mentioning it was helpful though

actually I just had a thought - could you not get something like a tank stacker? there are definitely stands made for aquariums that have two levels or more, so that you can have more than one tank without taking up more floorspace. I'm sure they must have a big enough gap between the levels as well, as otherwise how would you change water/add/remove fish? especially with the weight of water, they wouldn't expect you to take the tanks off the stand to drain or refill! let me see if I can find a picture to show what I mean...

if you or your OH are quite handy, you could always make your own. in searching for examples, I found loads of DIY tank stacking stand instructions.

Thank you i will have a look into them i will look at buying them first as my OH at the min is building a stand for his upgrade and i like to think i can build things then fail big time

Do you know if there are any stated requirement measurements for the gap?

Lol sometimes they need upgraded although I tend to put them in place would take to much time to upgrade as I'm really picky lol

Am glad it's the tank he's upgrading though and not me lol

Oh and sometimes a newer model can be nice
Well my last one was and I still have him he's brill

I have a random question, do you ever just sit/stand and watch the fish or follow them xD I tend to do this whenever I walk into my livingroom, and i have conversations with the shrimp xD
