Hi all

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everyone who has helped me out since my return to owning hamsters, especially with the two robos I have since they are my first robo boys. Looking back I can't believe how lonely I was without a hammy..it sounds silly, but it's true. (I think I need to get a life or something...at least bigger cages for the boys).

I know I don't post as often as I should, and I go wandering away for weeks at a time, but I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your support and encouragement. It's also really great to know people who love hamsters just as much as I do, because iv had some really odd (and nasty) comments through the years because people do not understand because to them it's 'just a hamster' and not a dog or a cat.

You all are an inspiration, and I am so glad I found HC!

Don't worry I'm not going anywhere...I'm just gushing for a moment. Erin's LH Syrian thread has done something odd to me...too much cuteness methinks!

I know what you mean - it's just nice to have a hamster (or two). I'm having a quick look at the forum after letting Rosa out for a couple of hours in the living room. I have to keep an eye on her when she's out as she can climb practically anywhere (she's very helpful in cleaning those hard-to-get-at places behind the radiator) and also my carpet would undoubtedly suffer.

Re. friends - like a proud mum, I constant show pictures of Rosa to friends and most of them don't appear to be interested at all. How could they not think she's really cute??? So I'm glad I have some new hammy mates on the forum who DO understand!
