Big hugs to everyone. I suffer from depression as well as prolapsed discs in my back so I'm stuck at home. I have Tenosynovitis so my wrists are in splints. I think having my Dusty, my foster babies and this forum have saved me from going completely round the bend, My OH is good as he helps me clean out the babies. I also have a huge Goldfish who has to be kept alone as he's vicious and quite a big Yorkie with Cushing's disease. Its the hamsters and friends here that keep me sane.
I've learned so much here and its great to find people who are just like me.

Sorry to hear about your health worroamyotrophic that you also suffer from depression Lynternette,it can be such a terrible illness to live with,but it does help to know the are others out there who nderatand she we are coming from. having HC makes me feel much less alone in the world.I enjoy swapping stories and just reading about others

I have a mini yorkie,he's just turned 5 and is called Dinky,he follows me round like a shadow,and he's also been a huge help with my depression. (he's asleep in the middle of me and my OH at the mo lol) sorry to hear your yorkie has cushings I've heard of it,but don't know much about it. Xx

depression is bad but don't let it define you, you hear me! i refuse to let it beat me and all you can do the same... when you get knocked down fight like hell to get back up. don't take it lying down.

I also want to say that i really enjoy coming on this forum too. I have been addicted recently since getting all the hams. I also suffer from depression and have been on tablets for the last few months. Things are starting to look up though. I also have a major confidence issue and find it hard meeting new people and talking to you guys on here has really, really helped me I always log onto my laptop and coming straight on here. I have even made it my homepage lol.

So yeah, thanks guys I know im relatively new so dont know everyone as well as others but i dont intend on leaving anytime soon. Would be good to add people on facebook and that too to discuss our hammy adventures lol

This is a really good site - I haven't been interested in joining any forums before but everyone on HC seems to be really friendly and supportive regarding all hamster matters. And beyond!

I only joined a few days ago but have had a really warm welcome and look forward to more communication with all of you in the big hamster family.
