Logging in issues?

Does anyone else ever have trouble logging into the site? I've tried to log in everyday with the absolute same password and login. Sometimes it says "Welcome dainellemk, if your browser doesn't automatically connect you..." and then comes up to the front page but doesn't show I've been logged in. Other times, if I click on the front page I do get the forum and it shows my name up in the top right hand corner, but other times it does not. It's kind of hit and miss. Is there something I need to do? I can't log on to the site on my other computer at all.

yeah this always happens to me, i log in and it says im logged in but then it shows it as im not, but when i click on forum it shows that im logged in. im unable to log on to here on the library computers, unsure why though. Maybe someone who is more computer technical will be able to help

Do you guys use the "Remember Me" button/check box?

Why you can't log into it on certain computers I don't know, it must be some sort of security thing, or cookie thing, stopping it. I can't remember the ins and outs of the vB logging in system so can't really help with that, I'm sure someone with behind the scenes knowledge will be able to help

yeah i check the box thing it keeps me logged in but when it takes me to the homepage it says im not logged in but i click on forum and i am logged in :L

I had a few issues a while back when the forum changed hands and I tried using the same username and password I use now and found that it wouldn`t allow me to log-in. It was hit and miss for a while, but after contacting admin, they advised me that when I type in my username & password, to also always click on the `remember me` check box. Once I did this, it came back up as the home page, but then I click on `forum` and my details are in the top right hand corner. It`s been this way ever since so I stick with it. Whether everyone does the same routine to log-in, I`m not sure. Would be interesting to find out!

Thats been happening to me also, looks like iv logged in but then takes me to the front page without being logged in normally takes about 10 tries before it keeps me logged in...weird!

Its been strange for me for some time now - If I log in on the front page I have to move to another page to see myself logged in at the top. Its something to do with when I changed to a new laptop.
So this could be the case for you x

When I log into another forum I`m a member of, the `remember me` box is already ticked, so I just log in. On here, my `remember me` box is always blank, so I always have to `tick` it before I get logged in, otherwise it doesn`t log me in! Strange...
