Just kidding I agree. Sometimes I do pronounce it HAMPSTER just to be stupid, but otherwise I can't stand the misspelling of the word either hehe

I really really hate it when people spell it 'hampsters' I just wanna message them (on ebay and gumtree) and tell them to spell it right!

If you are advertising and such you really should spell it correctly... it doesnt bother me considering you wouldn't expect young children to be able to spell hamster readily.

i hate it when people spell hamster with a p, especially when im looking on ebay for cages. I would have thought that it was rather easy to spell :L

I do the same as Obscura, sometimes say hampster to be silly. But never spell it that way!
