Question Trampolining

Random but wondering if by any chance, any of you were involved in trampolining?

I used to compete for a local club for years, until a falling out with my coach caused me to stop altogether. I'd also found competing really took the fun out of it for me!
But I've always missed it, so recently decided to find some local non-competitive classes Hopefully they'll let me enrol in the coming weeks, trampolining is so fabulous for toning your muscles and getting good flexibility.

Would love to hear about any of you x

I don't, but it sounds like a great idea once my stupid foot injury has healed. I've always thought it sounds awesome, but never really had the chance to try it.

aw I hope it heals soon, its so much fun, you don't even feel like your exercising!
Trampolinists are quite injury prone though - I've had quite a few falls x

I wasn't a trampolinist, but I was an national level gymnast till i was 16, then a coach with girls of the same level and GB internationals. We do a lot of training aerial skills from the trampoline into the pit for technique and aerial awareness before taking it too the floor.

I'm so glad you are getting involved again, and really hope you get the love of it back

Great! That means I'll fit right in
Or that I should run a mile given my knack for silly injuries... One or the other lol

And thanks, the injury will heal eventually but I'm resigned to it being here for a while yet. Might get the diagnosis confirmed on the 27th of this month though, and at least I rarely need my crutches now. Both are definetly bright sides

pompoms - Thats so cool I envy gymnasts, always want to jump into one of those big foam pits One of the reasons I can't compete is cause I'm not serious enough My favourite thing to do was play catch with someone on another trampoline x

Kryrillion - just get some good spotters (people to stand at the side of teh trampoline) to catch you x

Ahhh they are so good, I jumped in one today! It's getting out that's the tricky bit . If you have a big gym near you which you will, I would try and go just one for a taster session purely so you can jump in. Launching yourself from the tramp into the pit is always the most fun, apart from when you land head first which I have many many times
