What is your favourite thing about where you live?

Since it looks like we won`t have the time or money to travel far anytime soon i feel like vicariously experiencing places through others and since we are spread out somewhat I would like to know what the best thing ( besides your hams lol) about where you live and if you have a picture of where you live to post it as well if you would like.

I think mine is a tie between the selection of merchandise available/the weather. Rarely gets to freezing here and haven`t had any snow yet this winter. Oh and i spell words with the u instead of without like most americans its because I grew up in Canada so I'm really not mocking you or anything (to me it will always be the proper way ).

Also I took more pictures during the day but have not yet uploaded them. But on the brighter side I did manage to install a shelf into the wall into the studs and not have it rip out of the wall... 3 more to go And moved a bunch of furniture around. I'm determined to make my apartment fit together properly.... maybe if i got more animals...

I will also put up a picture when I'm home... all my pictures are on the computer with the most space.

Quite possibly the fact that the attatched photo is the view from our bedroom and living room windows
I also love that (if I didn't have a certain silly foot injury still healing) we're in the middle of nowhere so have loads of great places to go walking without needing to travel too far to get there, the fact that there are beaches everywhere, er... and yeah I like the area in general

Good things about Bournemouth? eh.. got a lovely beach which is great when the weather's not playing up, and the town centre's good i guess. other than that, no snow, no shops, and chavs, but it's a nice place really ;]

ooo nice view. I miss beaches. Here is neat because it is sort of a larger city but at the same time there are lots of bits right in the middle where you can`t even see anything but greenery and rivers and such so its like being away from town.

Ah, that sounds fun! With us its beaches everywhere but also mountains nearby and stuff, so we're in the middle of nowhere, with added beaches basically lol
Where we are now its a 20 minute drive to get to a store that isn't basically your average corner shop (those less than 20 mins away are just selling overpriced food essentials, sweets and newspapers lol), fortunately its a drive we enjoy lol

The only real downside is that it takes a while to visit anyone or get anywhere, plus theres a limit on what we can get locally, so we have to plan things more because its harder to go out and buy stuff quickly sometimes. Ham stuff is the worst to get, and my decision to boycott P@H isn't helping (until today it was boycott their brands, now its boycott them completely lol), but we've found a garden centre and a small pet store within the 20 min drive that have some essentials, then we're just becoming great fans of ordering anything else online now lol

Ooh well! There are a ton of things I love about Caldicot!

The Tuesday market I LOVE! Its set up right across the tiny village centre where our shops are -

There is a man who works there, I have never met him, but his voice is a childhood memory. I remember being a tiny tot in my pushchair and walking through the village market to hear him yelling "Ten pounds of bananas a pound!" and he still yells the same thing every tuesday from his little fruit stall!

The war memorial we have at the other end of the village is a favourite spot, its very pretty and has been around for decades


Our town church, St Mary's, its where I have been planning to get married since I was 4


And finally Caldicot Castle with its lake and forest, the grounds are mahoosive!!!

ooo those pictures are great and the places are lovely. i love it. here is some from mine. will have to look through more folders to see if i have more. but i`m also cooking atm so will post more in a min.

This isn't exactly where i live but its quite close. Its Nashville, TN The second one is a lake close by. The other pictures are on disks so I'll have to hunt through them at some point.
