Re: What is your favourite thing about where you live?
Of course now it is unseasonably warm and the temperature loves to drop 40 degrees out of no where occasionally so we are at risk of tornadoes while it is unstable... i think i`d rather have it a bit colder then tornadoes. :S

Re: What is your favourite thing about where you live?
Ah... I'd forgotten about tornadoes... Here's hoping everyone we both know in the USA stays tornado free. I've got a few friends over there and when a tornado hit the place one lives she had a group of us following the news, glued to the laptops waiting for updates to be sure she was ok e.t.c. That was just a friend over there, I can't imagine how bad it must be to actually live out there and have your family e.t.c there too.
(Oh and yes, my hopes do include for you staying tornado free - just incase that wasn't clear lol)

Re: What is your favourite thing about where you live?
I don`t really have family in this area so i don`t have to worry about them. allens grandma might be in an area that could be affected but other then that no one else really lives in affected areas i don`t think i barely know his family and don`t know anything about where they live besides the names of the places so i don`t know. its good not to have to worry about my family tho. This is a link from a flood that happened almost two years ago which like the week before we had moved out of this area we had lived a couple blocks away from the street in the video, also it shows you sort of what the city was like. Re: What is your favourite thing about where you live?
Thats good anyway, less people to worry about the better
And that flood is quite bad... At least people could still drive though. When areas near my parents have got flooded its ended up with entire roads completely blocked off, including one bridge they once ended up quite worried was going to collapse. Fortunately the bridge was a footbridge and walking around the long way didn't take too long though (and it never did collapse).

Re: What is your favourite thing about where you live?
The entire area was flooded except where we moved to basically and my husband had to call out from work because 3 highways were too high from water and the town had too much also so even if he got to the town somehow he couldn`t get to the job site. there are videos of transports and people riding in boats on the highway. it was madness.

Blimey! Ok, we never get it that bad... I've never even heard of that happening to buildings before...
Right... Now I'm just hoping you never need to deal with floods that bad again.

Re: What is your favourite thing about where you live?
We were just lucky we moved the week before it hit or we would have been stuck in our apartment for over a week. Downside of mountains? valleys lol. The really nice mall in the tourist area was badly damaged and is still closed from that event in nashville and downtown nashville was even flooded! Never seen anything like it before that myself and it spread out to towns over 30 and 40 mins away it was unbelievable. We were actually pretty lucky. it was a flash flood which means it happened very quickly. And we had actually planned to be in that area for that day to go out to the mall i mentioned and we decided we were tired and decided not to go out or we would had been on that highway and the video shows what it was like when it first hit. So we were very lucky.
