My little brother is moving away :(
I'm sad but at the same time very happy for my little brother.
He recently dropped out of college as he was really not enjoying his course and my parents were worried about him instantly joining the forces or bumming about.
However....
my Mum found an activity centre website where they were looking for activity instructors for young children around Britain and around France where they are predominantly based.
My brother (he's 18 ) has an awesome CV with regards to sporting achievements and he's also been coaching young children cricket. He can also speak and understand French because of my Mum (she's french).
He applied for this activity instructor job and within hours of his application he got a phone call for an interview.
My Dad and my brother drove to Exeter for the interview and none of us were confident that he would get it straight away as this was his very first interview.....
BUT
he got it! And out of all the people they interviewed today, he was the only person who they definitely said got it!
He's leaving Swansea on the 1st February and will be living in NORMANDY! in the North of France for 8 months! If all goes well after October, he'll be asked to stay on and do skiing instructing! He may also have the possibility to go to America!
I'm so jealous but I'm so happy for him. It hasn't quite sunk in for him and my Mum is a little sad that her other offspring is leaving the nest so soon.
I'm taking him to the airport on the 1st February and I'm sure tears will be seen!

Re: My little brother is moving away :(
Wow.
Good luck to him!
I know its not been that easy for my family for me to move 2.5 hours away, I miss them more than I expected after being away most of 3 years anyway, and its still a big change.
Sounds like your brother did really well though, and the job does seem perfect for him.
I hope he enjoys it and you all adapt to the change better than expected.
Good luck to all of you for this

Re: My little brother is moving away :(
He's still in a bit of shock as is my Mum as she didn't expect that he will be leaving so soon. It'll be a very big change but we are hoping to go and see him in the Summer which will be great.
The job really is perfect!

Well done to your brother The job sounds fab with wonderful opportunities for him.
Of course you will all miss each other but life is short and it is there to be lived!

Re: My little brother is moving away :(
What an amazing oppertunity for him, well done
I'm sure it'll be hard to see him go (I miss my sister and shes less than 2 hours away!) but be proud and put on a smile for him.
Sending my best wishes to you all x
