Thank you for clarifying that for me. I use the stuff that they have to tear and also stuff that is 100% natural cotton nesting material. I checked it over to see if there are any warnings but don't see any. Is this the stuff you are talking about. It is made by S.A.M or PennPlax. Both names are on it.

OMG i did not know that. I was freaking out yesterday when my freind called and said her hamster was walking funny. His feet were blue and black, and his bedding was wrapped around his paws. he is better now. He is crashing in my spair cage as her owner cleans up her cage and buys new bedding. (by the way we just guessed the bedding had something to do with it)

I don't know about specific brands, we're in different countries, but anything that is like cotton wool/balls/fluff is what we're talking about.

motherofthree - it certainly sounds like the bedding has something to do with it if it was wrapped round his feet and they were blue/black!!! Has colour returned to them?
