Poor Dog
Other than my hamsters my mum and ian have some pets which i dont get involved in. 3 cats 1 dog and a fish :/
The problem is the dog monty used to be dads before dad died. But Monty got taken on as my mums,
Anyway he has had 2 strokes which makes it hard for him to see and hear and do things like lie down when told. he also has artheritus in his back legs and is in pain. My mum and ian constantly shout in his face to get him lie down and some times try make him he is in constant pain and tbh has a not so good life in my eyes i tryed speak to my mum about it but she went in a mood so i have jst come up stairs and left it.
I keep telling my mum monty needs putting to sleep or seen by vets at least because if you saw how bad he was ude probly think the same but mum said hes fine but all he does is lie on his bed if he stands up for 5 mins just to sort his legs out all he gets is LIE DOWN LIE DOWN ON YOUR BED ON YOUR BED and its not fair is there any way i could at least get them stop shouting at him

Re: Poor Dog
That's awful. especially if he is being left to suffer. If I was in your position I would be tempted to call the RSPCA, at least then he might get the medical attention he needs and the life he deserves, poor thing.

Re: Poor Dog
That is really bad, cant you phone the rspca anonymously? And she wont know who did it? It sounds like your dog really needs to see a vet, its not fair on him

Re: Poor Dog
Yeah im pretty sure you can call the RSPCA anonymously, this dog seems like it has no quality of life, poor thing But if i were in your position, reguardless of what my mom would do to me, or my room, i'd stand up for the dog! No animal should suffer like this ,or haveto constantly lie down, which probably makes his pain more. If i were you though, i'd ring the RSPCA anon'

Re: Poor Dog
Thats really sad ... You should ask yourself, what would you dad want for his doggy if he was here and then maybe speak to your mum again on nicer, more clamer terms about the fact he doesn't have the best quality of life and it is upsetting you quite alot and you don't feel your dad would of liked to think his dog was suffering unnecesarily and could she stop shouting at him? Could you get him one of those dog wheelies that they attach to the lower body and allows dogs with weak back legs to zoom around? They are like wheel chairs for dogs.

Re: Poor Dog
Oh my, how terrible
He should be living his last days happily!
I really hope you can get something sorted for him, try explaining to your mum that your dad wouldn't want him to be suffering and if he is, it may be time for him to join his dad at the bridge xxx
