Default Goodbye Cinnamon

I hadn't known about this topic or I'd have posted this sooner. Our adorable - and adored - Syrian hamster, Cinnamon, sadly left us about a month ago. He was the sweetest, friendliest little chap, who loved listening to me reading to my two kids in the evenings (he'd come to the edge of the cage and sit there), could be cuddled endlessly, was a daredevil climber, kept me company when the kids were at their dad's, and was just a delight in every way. The night he died, he seemed to have gone into some kind of hibernation state and we held him for over two hours trying to bring him round, but it didn't work. I think it was just his time to go and it was very peaceful, thankfully. We now have a new little male Syrian, as of last weekend, who's gorgeous and becoming part of the family already. But we won't forget Cinnamon. I honestly would never have thought a tiny creature could bring me so much joy.

Play well at the bridge little Cinnamon.

Yes, there is something special about our furry hamster friends.
