Re: Good bye Henry
So sad to hear about Henry. How fitting that he is buried in his beloved coconut.

Re: Good bye Henry
Thank you again for your kind words.
I've moved Henry's cage upstairs and covered it with a blanket until i'm ready to set it up again.
Rodney has moved downstairs and a baby photo of Henry hangs above his cage.

Re: Good bye Henry
Ahhh Ria P I am so sorry to hear of Henry's passing. I've been away from HC for a while and returned to find this terribly sad news.
These wonderful little creatures fill a huge space in our hearts but they leave an equally big hole when they go.
Rest In Peace sweet little Henry.

Re: Good bye Henry
I'm so sorry to hear about Henry. He sounded such a brave, plucky little character right up to the end. I'm sure he leaves you with many happy memories - and paw prints on your heart. What a lovely idea to bury him in his beloved coconut.
He will meet up with many friends over the bridge.

Re: Good bye Henry
I am so sorry to read your very sad news Ria. Henry sounded like such a brave little soldier and I know you will miss him terribly. Although too painful now, in time, all your precious memories will bring you so much comfort.
Take care of yourself, we are all thinking of you. X

Re: Good bye Henry
Thank you all for your comforting words.
I wanted to share Henry's photo that now hangs where his cage used to be.
Baby hamsters look at us so full of innocence and expectations wondering what their lives are going to be and their happiness lies in our hands.
I know that Henry was a happy hamster, even though he had a tendency to sulk when grumpy, which really helps at times like this.
