Rest In Peace little pip :(
The decision was made yesterday to put my hammy to sleep
I decided to be there with her, it was not nice seeing her in the gas box, she was trying to escape
the vet then did the injection & he gave her to me to hold & her eyes started opening, i didnt know if this is a sign that she wasnt ready, she was a fighter after all! but I was doing what i thought was best for her, I know she wasnt fully happy.
So I held her as she was crossing the rainbow bridge, stroked her & told her that she was a good girl
I'll miss you little girl :'(

Oh, this is so so sad but you made the right decision. Pip wanted to look at you once more before she passed and take her happy memories of you with her.
She's free now to play at the rainbow bridge.

Re: Rest In Peace little pip :(
I am so sorry for your loss and for the very distressing experience you had. I am a grown man in my 30s and it would have devastated me to experience what you experienced but I think you should rest assured that you did the right thing for little Pip.
Pip is at peace now. Take care.

I am so sorry for your loss. You know in your heart you did the right thing. As an animal lets it's being go from the body it can move and eyes open etc but that is just the body relaxing so there will have been no pain so try and not dwell on that. Run free at the bridge Pip x

Tears in my eyes reading this. Pip felt love and comfort as you held her and as she passed over to the rainbow bridge xx
