Rest softly little Pepper
Today my heart absolutely shattered.
Pepper, my dearest little hamster, ended up having a fast growing tumor. We saw it on the 5th of July and took her to the vet in hopes it was a cyst that could be drained.
Unfortunately, it was a solid mass growing right beneath her arm. Due to where it was situated the vet didn't want to risk an operation to remove it. He said to leave her be fir now as she was still happy and normal. He told me to bring her back if it got worse.
The tumor just continued to grow to the point where it took over a large portion of her right side.
This past week she has spent most if her time sleeping, rarely eating or drinking or even coming out of her den. That's when I knew her time had come, so I decided to take her to the vet to put her to sleep.
Pepper, how I wish you could've been with me for a year, but alas, we were a week short.
I hope you enjoy running in the wheel in the sky and ceunching on sunflower seeds.

So sorry for your loss but you did a kind thing to let Pepper go in peace.

Re: Rest softly little Pepper
Axis, I am sorry for your loss. Choosing to have Pepper euthanized by a veterinarian was a caring way to let her go.
