A Belated Memorial For My Sweet Waffles
In April, my precious baby passed. I am only now able to talk about him without falling apart. His name was Waffles and he was a golden Syrian hamster. He lived a whopping three and a half years!
Waffles would always make me smile and he gave me a purpose. Getting to know him was one of the best times of my life. I learned all of his quirks, what food he likes, and who he likes. He always loved peanuts and spinach covered sunflower seeds. He would run every night for hours. He would always move his food bowl in front of his wheel so he wouldn’t have to get off the wheel when he needed food!
I knew that it was his time to leave me because he stopped running on his wheel. Over the next week I enjoyed my last moments with him. He peacefully died in his sleep a week later.
Thanks for being the best first hammy ever Waffles, I miss you very much ♥️

I am so sorry to hear about waffles. It is really hard when it is their time. You were both lucky to have each other for so long. it sounds like he was very special and left you with you lots of memories x

Re: A Belated Memorial For My Sweet Waffles
So sorry for your loss, Waffles lived to a grand age of 3 and a half! It sounds like the 2 of you had a wonderful bond and love. It's never easy when they pass away, I've been a hamster owner for 20 years and each loss always hits me hard.
It would be lovey to see a pic of him.

I really want to attach pictures on the forum, but all my pictures are too large and I am not sure how to fix it...
