It's taken a while to post this becuase obviously we were all pretty upset. Last Saturday our beloved Napoleon went to the Rainbow Bridge. He had been looking very tired for the past week or so, but he was still happy to come out for a cuddle and a plate of porridge. On Saturday, when we went up to check them after we came home from Bradford we found him curled up in his bed, looking very peaceful.
Napoleon was one of Chocolate Hams' first litter, the Carapaws, and his dad was our beautiful Pawaver. We had wanted a longhaired black-eyed cream satin, and he was the only one in the litter, so was ours from the beginning. Typical of a Custard, he had the most beautiful temperament and many a child learnt to enjoy holding hamsters when they got a chance to pet him. He was always first up and loved meercat-ing on his shelves looking for Alliana, and clambering around on his ladder. He was father to our 3rd litter, and gave us lots of beautiful babies to carry on his line. I'm sure he would have been very proud of his son Bru who won BIS Junior the day he died.
We will miss you so much Poly, you were such a special man and will always be loved. Play well at the Bridge, look after Wiggly and Little Ed, and say hello to all your relatives up there.
