Goodnight Little Miss Mabel, We'll Miss You.

To Mabel,

The first time that I saw you in the store I knew immediately that you were meant to come home with me. You were curled up in the corner of your cage with your sister, and right before we took you out of the cage to bring you home you ran back over to her and started to groom her like you were kissing her goodbye, like you knew that you were coming home with us. I was so happy.

When my mum was in hospital it was such a stressful time for me and you helped me through that so much. I don't think anyone will ever truly understand how much you really helped me and made me feel better, just one look at your cute little face would make me so happy. After Bambi died I was so heartbroken I honestly thought I'd never be able to bond with another hamster again and I'm so glad that you proved me wrong on that one.

You were always so shy at first, you reminded me so much of Misty, you had the same shy, sweet but still really friendly personality as her and that brought me so much comfort.

I remember the first time you ran over to me and let me hold you, I was so happy that you had finally learn to trust me.

I'm so sorry that I never got to say a proper goodbye to you and that you passed away alone, I still don't know what really happened to you or why you died. I hope that it was painless and that you weren't to scared, I hope that it just felt like you were going to sleep. I know that you're in a better place now and that you're not in pain.

You had the sweetest little face and such a huge personality. You were so pretty with your beautiful black fur and all of your little patches of grey - that's why i decided to call you Mabel, because I though that it was a really pretty name for you and the grey in your fur reminded me of a little old lady even though you were, and still are a little baby.

I loved you so much and I really wish that there was something I could have done for you.. I know that we didn't have long together but I really cared about you so much, I'm going to really miss you, Mabes. I hope that during the time we spent together that you were happy.

I really didn't expect to have to say goodbye to you so soon. You were such a little character and you deserved to live a long and happy life, I'm just so sorry that it didn't turn out that way for you. I'll always miss your pretty little face and your sweet personality, and your lovely huge ears of course! I'm so sorry, I miss you and I love you.

I have a lump in my throat. I’m so sorry to hear about Mable. It makes me so sad every time I read about a ham passing over the bridge. She was a ham that had me rapped around her paw with her cute looks and sweet character. She really made me smile each time I read her thread. What a sweet tribute to such a beautiful girl. I have a huge lump in my throat and my eyes are welling up with tears to hear about the sudden, sad loss of your most precious Mabel. She was truly a wonderful heart-ham and will be greatly missed by all of us. Although she did not have the long life that she truly deserved, she was extremely fortunate to have such a pampered, wonderful, and loving life with you. She couldn't have wished for more. I truly know what it is like mourning the loss of one so dear to your heart who has helped you with so much in your life, and my heart goes out to you during this very sad and emotional time. I am sending you huge hugs and my little fluffies are sending plenty of whisker kisses, too. I know that you have plenty of amazing, precious memories of your darling, sweet fluff to remember her by, and she will forever live on in your heart. She will also be greatly missed by all of us, too. She has certainly charmed me and had me wrapped around her tiny paw with her charming personality and utter cuteness. Thank you so much for sharing her with all of us through her wonderful thread; it was a pleasure getting to know her and witnessing the loving bond that the two of you shared. We are here for you, MeganAndMisty. Take comfort in knowing that she will live on in your heart and in all of the many hearts that she has touched along the way (including mine). Mabel is now your forever, fur angel loving and watching over you from above.
