I am truly very sorry about your loss of beloved Toby. He was a truly special ham and was loved so much. He had a long and happy life filled with so much unconditional love and care from you. We totally understand what you are going through. I hope that you are fortunate to find a little ham to love and help ease your sadness; may the new bond with your future ham cherish and thrive under your nurturing and loving care. Thinking of you during this hard time and sending you huge hugs.

RIP, dear Toby. You will live on forever in the hearts of all you have touched. Run free and happy at the bridge.

It's so hard looking at an empty cage, I covered mine up, still waiting for a little ham to come along.
If you're ready to use the cage, then follow your heart xxx

I agree with TL. It’s so hard to see an empty cage, if you feel the time is right, go with your heart...xx

Thank you for your replies-
I kept looking at the empty cage in the corner and yes you've guessed- I just happened to go to PAH,looking for dog treats, and yes you've guessed it,just 'happened'!!!, to have a quick peek into the dwarf hamsters and enquire when any little babies were coming in and lo and behold, the assistant said Today!!!, so yes you guessed I told her about my sweet boy Toby and she asked if I would like to see the new hamsters as they were to be put out very soon,of COURSE I SAID YES!!,-and yes you've guessed,I have now got a new little boy who I have called Sami, and I am smitten,he has had a vet check and weighs 30 g,and everything is going well ,and even though he's a bit shy,is now coming out to see me,so I am chuffed!!He is white and grey and of course gorgeous
I don't know how to upload an image from my I pad,as it keeps saying it's too big on this thread, but have managed a photo ( not brilliant), on the photo thread of hamsters pictures!!
