Sad Anniversary
This Sunday it will be a year since our beloved Charlie went to the Rainbow Bridge. Same type of weather too and the time of year reminds you.
On a positive note - Newt wanted to come out tonight and was on the sofa stuffing his pouches with Pumpkin seeds. I wouldn't have believed a year ago that we would have this lovely tame new addition to the family, or Nugget nipping about in the background peeking out of his tank.
Also strangely, we've all been suddenly having lots of happy memories of Charlie in younger days - he could run like the wind in a rat ball, zooming up and down the landing. And was the cheekiest, grumpiest little man, full of character and extremely cuddly and affectionate (when he was in the mood).
So just in memory of Charlie, here are some photos

Re: Sad Anniversary
Lovely to see Charlie again, I always find the first year a very sad time but so many happy memories too.
I'm sure Charlie is looking down from the bridge happy to see Newt & Nugget enjoying life with you now.

Re: Sad Anniversary
Charlie was such an amazing ham and is definitely very missed by all of us. It sure is nice to see your precious ham-boy again, Serendipity. I am so sorry that this Sunday will be extra hard for you and your family, but I'm glad that you have so many amazing, loving memories of him to reminisce and cherish. Charlie is now one of your precious fur angels who will always watch over you and your family; he will enjoy seeing you all playing with Newt and Nugget, too. Hugs to you and your family.

aww It's nice when the memories don't hurt quite so much anymore and you start to smile again. I'm sure he is watching over you all and sending his love. Keep swinging on the stars Charlie xx

Re: Sad Anniversary
Some beautiful photos of Charlie you have there. Love the one of him in the army car with the bunny and squirrel.
It's nice that you can all remember him with a smile; it's a sad time but with so many good memories too. I'm sure that's what he would have wanted x

Re: Sad Anniversary
Ah yes I can see the little blue coat now! Those were (and still kind of are) 2 of my favourites from when I was a kid. Charlie must have been having a very grand adventure that day with the likes of squirrel nutkin and Peter rabbit

Re: Sad Anniversary
I think he was more interested in being in charge of the gun And worried about who was closest to the cucumber.

Re: Sad Anniversary
Sad anniversary are very difficult however it a day where you get to remember the wonderful time you both got to share together which you will treasure forever.
It is so wonderful to see these photos of Charlie again - he was so very handsome and I especially love the photo of him with Peter Rabbit and Squirrel Nutkin as well as the one of his snuggled in his doughnut bed.
I'm sure Charlie is smiling down from the bridge seeing you giving both Newt and Nugget an amazing home and are also getting well spoilt just like he was!
