Re: Goodbye Alby, we loved you so much.
I'm so sorry to hear about Alby. I hope you will be able to take some comfort from the fact that you gave him a loving home and although his time was short with you, he would have known he was loved.
Hugs to you and have fun at the bridge Alby xx

Re: Goodbye Alby, we loved you so much.
Coco, thank you for guiding me to your thread. We have managed to bury him in a beautiful plant pot with a nice plant. It's been pretty traumatic as Alby was BF's first ever pet, and of course first pet being with me. Thank you to everyone for the kind thoughts and comments. I am taking comfort in knowing that we gave him a really lovely few months of love and kindness.
We don't want to rush into anything too soon but we are going to do some research into breeders nearby this weekend. While we don't ever want to 'replace' Alby, we know he would want us to give another hamster a chance at having a really good life with us. We're not totally sure when we'll be ready, but we will definitely be getting one eventually. Thank you again everyone xxxx

Re: Goodbye Alby, we loved you so much.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
I hope you find a lovely resting place for him. I think a pot is perfect. If you ever move and have a garden you can transfer the soil to the garden. I like to have a plant that blooms annually over our little ones. When the flowers bloom you know there is part of them there and they have joined the great circle of life again.
You never replace a pet. Each one makes your heart grow a little larger so there is room for them there as well as a new little one to share the love they had. You will know when the time is right for you.
Play well at the rainbow bridge Alby x

Re: Goodbye Alby, we loved you so much.
I am terribly sorry for your loss of dear Alby. Hugs to you. My heart goes out to you and your bf during this very hard and sad time. Alby was very lucky to have your love and care and I'm sure she knew how precious and beloved she was to you both. RIP, dear Alby. May you find many adventures at the bridge.
