Jen, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of sweet Hubble. He was a lovely hammy and so full of fun. What a lovely video tribute for such a beloved hammy. Although it is natural to have feelings of guilt after a pet dies, please know that you did absolutely everything you could for Hubble throughout his wonderful life and especially at the end. I'm sure that he knew that you were helping him in the end and there was no loss of trust between the two of you. He never doubted your love or your intentions because you showed him how much you cared every single day. You had a beautiful and special bond. Please find comfort in that. Take care and hugs to you. RIP, Hubble. You are gone but never forgotten.

Thank you all. Serendipity, that article you linked actually made me feel a lot better so thank you very much for posting it. And we've ordered a memorial plaque and have cleaned away the medicine & syringes, which has made it all feel a little less raw now.

My condolences Jen on your beautiful Hubble going to the bridge. My thoughts are with you. You gave him so much love and care, he knows you were doing all to help him. We all feel guilt when our little ones leave us, I know I found myself asking what if I'd done this or done that, the tears will come and go, you'll find yourself crying at certain reminders. It's all part of the grieving and we're here for you.
