My dear Crumble, I still miss you so much and think about you every day. I still have your old cage and wheel etc. I miss holding you and stroking your soft back and your adorable vibrating nose poking through the cage bars waiting for the door to be opened. I just want you back so much my sweet girl. Love you always xx

Oh, Turrican, I know how you feel. No matter how much we love our new hammies, we miss the ones that have passed on to the bridge and wish that they could be with us, too. It is natural for you to feel that loss and longing no matter how much time passes by, but with time you can begin to remember Crumble with smiles instead of tears. Know that sweet, beloved Crumble is still with you and is now one of your guardian angels looking down at you and your Kenny with such love and affection. Crumble will be with you forever in your heart and in those precious memories that you created together. She will be with you in all that you do because she was a huge, integral part of your life and you loved each other so very much. You had a strong and loving bond and she would want you to find happiness again. Give Kenny a nice, long cuddle and make all the memories you can with him. Dreamtree and Rads, thank you both so much. It's so comforting to me to know that other people 'get it' and know how it feels. It really is so hard to lose a beloved pet isn't it! I know Crumby as I called her is at peace now and I have Kenny to enjoy but, I don't know, I just think of her so much.

Turrican, I know exactly how you're feeling, it's so hard to get your head around it that Crumble's no longer with you. Grieving can take a while, there's no time limit and it's OK to think about her and have a cry. They fill your heart with love and joy and they leave a huge hole when they go.
We understand your emotions and missing her.

Thank you Lizzy. Your words are comforting to me. I feel much better today and trying to focus on happy memories rather than dwelling on the fact that she's gone, if you know what I mean! I guess I'll have good and bad days along the way.
