I think that no matter how long any of our loved ones are with us it will never be long enough. We just have to keep them alive in our hearts and memories and cherish every single second that we are blessed with having them to care for.

Thanks Souffle. This thread is so comforting. I still miss her so much. My new hamster is awesome but spending time with him keeps making me think of poor Crumby and how much she's missed. She was one in a million! The picture is from her last night, as she was getting very weak and preparing for her forever sleep.

It's so sad when you see them about to go over the bridge.
When Twinkle passed, I felt empty inside and the slightest reminder had me in tears, even at her year anniversary, I got very emotional. I found getting a cushion done really helped as I could hug it whenever I felt sad.

Those last moments are very sad but I think they also bring back memories of how strong the bond was & how much love there was between you, they're always missed & it can be sad sometimes when you enjoy being with a new ham & it brings back memories but I'm sure Crumble is happy at the bridge seeing the bond develop between you & Kenneth now.

I'm so sorry she had to leave you. It's absolutely the worst feeling when they go, they are such a huge part of our lives at home. Whilst she'll never be replaced I'm sure the new little fella will bless you with his own unique personality.

RIP Crumble <3
