Unhappy The ham garden

It is with a heavy heart that I have come to honor a very special friend of mine with whom I have shared my final goodbyes with

I never expected to come home and find my young, seemingly perfectly healthy Syrian, was no longer with me. Chance was such a lovely little hamster, one who I had big plans for! He had come so far from when I had first gotten him. He went from a skittish beaten up ham, to a plump and super adventurous little man. He liked to keep me on my toes to say the least. I'm still unsure as to how he passed as even after examining him (morbid I know sorry) I couldn't see anything to be wrong on the outside. He was mostly fine the day before except for the fact that he seemed less rambunctious. However, I'm glad I could at least provide him with a safe and secure home for his short life. So to my little snowy ham, may you be running free somewhere beautiful, wait for me at the bridge please!

I also wanted to make this thread to share with others something I have done to honor all my lovely hamsters who have come and gone throughout my life. It is a little thing I call "The ham garden". I have a little patch in my yard in which I have planted many flowers and laid down stones to decorate. This is where I have buried all my hamsters once they were ready to go through with the half of their journey I couldn't be present for. Creating this garden has really helped me cope so much, evertime spring comes around, I'll pick off some of the budding flowers and leave them on the graves as a bit of a tribute to my little ones. Planting and decorating takes my mind off of the grief a bit and helps me to say goodbye a bit easier. Perhaps some of you have a hamster who has gone off to run and play in the ham garden? If you have, I am very sorry for your loss and I hope that others can perhaps find some solace in creating a little ham garden of their own

Very sorry for your loss Drago . You have written a beautiful memorial for Chance. He was a very handsome, spoiled hamster who was lucky to have you for an owner.

Play well at the Rainbow Bridge with all your hamster friends and may you rest in peace.

I'm so sorry Drago. It sounds like you cared a lot for Chance. The memorial garden looks beautiful, fitting for such a beautiful hamster. Our dearest friends never seem to live quite as long as their large hearts should make it be.
Rest in peace Chance.

Drago, I am terribly sorry for your loss of Chance. He was such an adorable, fluffy, snowball! I know that you must have loved him and pampered him thoroughly in order to get him to be such a trusting and adventurous fellow. It was such a truly heartfelt and beautiful tribute that you wrote to honor your beloved Chance. I know that he is looking down from the hammy wheel in the sky, running in full stride, and wishing you to find comfort in the fact that he is forever with you in your heart. He had such a magnificent life with you, and your sweet, treasured memories of him will ensure that he will live on forever in your heart.

Your concern, thoughtfulness, and compassion for the grief of others and your strong desire to find ways to bring them comfort during your time of grief is a true testament of your loving character. You are a special person, and Chance was truly lucky to have a forever home with you. The ham garden you created in memory of him is truly touching and very lovely indeed. I can tell it is a place of peace where you can come to be near your beloved hamily.

Take care, Drago! I am here for you and will be praying that with each passing day it will be easier to bear. Rest in peace, Chance! Run free, happy, and healthy at the Rainbow Bridge and be sure to wait for your beloved Drago who misses you dearly.

Drago I'm so sorry for your loss, it's always hard to lose a ham but to lose one young to unknown causes is so sad & distressing.
Chance's life may have been far too short but it was a good one & you gave him a happy home full of love, he couldn't have wanted for more.
Your ham garden is a lovely tribute to those that have gone to the bridge & looks like a beautiful spot to remember them.

Run free Chance & play well at the bridge.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Chance was a little cool boy, and always it's sad to lose a loved one, but it's even harder when it's so soon. His life was short, but think that you give him a happy life and he was dearly loved.

Rest in peace little Chance

Oh no Drago, I can't believe it, poor Chance He was such a lively little guy and so full of character. He had a lovely home with you and I hope you'll take comfort from that. Your memorial garden is beautiful. The little white flowers are very fitting for Chance since he was your little snowy ham.

Hugs to you Drago and have fun at the bridge Chance xx

Aww Drago, so sorry to hear about Chance. I'm sure you filled his life with lots of love and happiness, which I'm sure he was very grateful for. Your memorial garden is a wonderful idea. I'm sure little Chance is at rainbow bridge with all your other much loved pets, discussing how great of an owner you were to them all x x x

I'm very sorry for your loss, Drago. Chance looked like a very happy hamster in those photos, you obviously took care of him so well. I love the memorial you made, it's a lovely way to remember your pets; my hamsters who have passed away are buried in a rose bed in our garden.
Rest in peace Chance, and play well at the rainbow bridge
