Unfortunately we have had to make the hardest decision in the world this evening as we have had to put our 6 month hamster to sleep
Sleep well sweetie. We will miss you

Re: Sleep Tight Sooty!
I'm so sorry Amy, such a short life but you did your very best for him & made the kindest choice for him at the end.
Run free & play well at the bridge Sooty.

Re: Sleep Tight Sooty!
So very sorry it ended this way Amy. It is so hard, we had to do it once with a 6 month old. Sooty was a sweet looking boy and you did your best for him. Play well now Sooty, restored to full health.

Re: Sleep Tight Sooty!
Hi Thin Lizzy
Yes he has been very poorly this last week. I took him to the vets last Sunday and he was prescribed antibiotics. He hadn't improved and wasn't eating much so took him agin to vets last night. A abscess had started to grow and the only option would be to operate but the chances were slim as he was so weak. Hardest decision to put him to sleep but felt like the right one x
