Orlando - our gentle boy x

Our beloved Orlando has gone to the bridge.
He was a treasure of a hamster and one of the gentlest hamsters we have even had the pleasure to share our lives with. He was always out and about and loved to come out for cuddles and a snooze under the bed covers. Always one for the ladies he gave us a beautiful litter a year ago with Billie who have inherited his lovely nature and are giving lots of pleasure to their new families. He was a good age at nearly 3 and he had been slowing down the past few weeks. We know he had a good life.
We will miss you so much beautiful, soft boy. Run free with the Custard animals who have gone before till we meet again xx

Soufflé I am very sad to read this news. I had a soft spot for Orlando from afar. Not only was he the most lovely looking boy but my first cat as an adult was an Orlando ( the marmalade cat,so a red tabby of course) Rescued as a kitten of 4 months he was one of the gentlest, cuddliest animals I have known. Such pets occupy a special place always.
Orlando was an exceptional age and an obvious heart ham.
Play well Orlando, you will be much missed.

Bless him. He was so lovely. I had a soft spot for him from afar as well. My first ever hamster, Horace was a black eyed cream. Rest in peace lovely Orlando.
