That is sad that Chublets's sister passed away around the same time greysome, so sorry to hear that.
It's possible there may have been a genetic issue but that is really quite an average age for many hams to live to so it may just be chance they went so close together.

I am keeping that in mind cypher. I was just wondering if perhaps there was some genetics at play (they are a result of a brother/sister pairing) as both apparently began slowing down at roughly the same time (a few months ago--Chublet was the first of any of my hammies to start showing signs of aging though he was the second youngest syrian). His uncle/possible father is still with me and though he isn't as active as he used to be, these past couple of days he appears to show a renewed interest in out of cage playtime.
